Bead Soup Blog Party Hoarders Edition Reveal

I want to thank my partner, Joyce Becker, for all of the lovely, lovely beads she sent me!! The cat-like lampwork beads, the purple lampwork lentils with the purple and Swarovski crystals and metal components and the turquoise and silver focal with the turquoise Swarovski  and sterling silver beads.

I started with the Purple lentils and added a small hoarded Humblebead disk for my first necklace.

I made a pair of earrings to go with the necklace. I love the colors of the lentils and the beads Joyce sent with them are perfect!

I went to work with the silver and turquoise beads and made this next necklace.

Joyce sent me so many beads - I enjoyed working with them. I'm still working with the cat-like lampowork beads - I want to highlight all of the beautiful colors in them and will try to get a picture of what I made up soon.

Thank you Lori Anderson of Pretty Things for getting this blog hop together!!

Here's a list of all of the participants. I'm looking forward to going to all of the blogs and Pinterest boards to see all of the beautiful designs!!

Gemstone & Metal Blog Hop

Today's the day for the Pine Ridge Treasures Gemstone & Metal Blog Hop! All participants were send a kit containing a semi-precious gemstone in different shapes and sizes and a variety of plated metal.

My kit contained Green Line Jasper and brass

I was having a hard time deciding what to make - tried a few designs ...... nothing that I liked. So I woke up this morning and started working again - this is what I came up with ......

I used a green line jasper coin bead, a couple of brass barrels and the toggle from my kit, then added some small beads and crystals from my stash.

Please check out all of the fabulous designers jewelry in this fun hop! Thank you Lisa Lodge for putting this together!!

Meet My BSBP Partner, Christina Miles !

I want to introduce you to a fabulous artist, my new friend, Christina Miles of Wings and Scales! Chris started out painting beautiful paintings and, now, makes sweet fairy and mermaid dolls, designs jewelry, is a ZnetShows design team member and has recently started painting lovely little cabachons - I'm the lucky recipient of two of her creations!! She is also the mother of 2 wonderful young men, lives in Northern California, likes the beach and to travel whenever she can.

This is what I received from Chris - her handmade pendants are gorgeous and the copper clasp and connectors that she made are perfect!! The wood beads, orange beads, bead strands and recycled sari silk will go great with the pendants!

Chris, also, sent me a bag full of vintage pendants and teardrops - so many little pretties to play with !!

You can find more of Chris' amazing creations on her Etsy shop and more of her beautiful artwork and jewelry can be found on her Flickr page.

Into the Forest Blog Hop Reveal

The lovely, Lisa Lodge, of Pine Ridge Treasures had a sign-up for another of her fun blog hops - this one with the "Forest" theme.  We were sent a bead kit and were asked to use beads from our own stash and asked not to go out and buy additional beads.

I received the Tiger Eye kit

When I decided to sit down and get to work on my kit, I remembered that I had recently bought a pendant that would go perfectly with my beads. It's a dark brown metal puff bead that has a great texture and is very light-weight.

I strung most of the bigger beads with the metal pendant and added some of my beautiful green recycled sari silk.

The toggle I used has a texture that reminds me of bark.

This morning, I thought I'd make the earrings I had in mind - I love how they turned out! The teardrop and gold beads are from my kit and I added the silver disc from my stash.

Thank you for stopping by! Please hop over to all of the other jewelry designers to see their beautiful creations!

I Love Clay Blog Hop

When Lisa Lodge of Pine Ridge Treasures put out the call for sign-ups for the 'I Love Clay Blog Hop', I didn't realize life would be as busy as it is right now!! But, I always love joining Lisa's blog hops because they are always fun and make me stretch my design abilities.

I received some adorable clay beads made by Tori Sophia Designs.

I decided to use some of my beautiful seaglass beads from ZnetShows and went to work! I wire wrapped the seaglass beads with copper wire and attached them to antique copper double spiral links. I attached the cute fish pendant with Irish waxed linen, added copper chain and a little "fish-hook" toggle.

Please check out all of the lovely designers and their designs. I will be going through the hop on Monday since I'm meeting my sisters in NYC this weekend! Enjoy the hop!!
